“TV ‘Housewife’ in a Bad Situation!” screams a headline in the National Enquirer about Bethenny Frankel allegedly being “caught” in a “cheating scandal” with Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino.

According to the sometime magazine/sometime birdcage liner, Frankel “hooked up” with The Situation, and the “cheating scandal is threatening to destroy her already troubled marriage” to Jason Hoppy, who’s been “suspicious for some time because of all the problems they’ve had.”

The tab then quotes a seemingly fictitious source saying in an even more made-up sounding quote, “Getting mixed up with someone like Mike Sorrentino, who has just been through rehab, is the last thing Bethenny needs right now.”

Actually, the last thing she needs is fabricated stories linking her to “Jersey Shore” stars.

A rep for Frankel tells Gossip Cop the rumor about the two hooking up is 100% FALSE.
