Bethenny Frankel tearfully opens up about her divorce on Wednesday’s “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

The reality host and entrepreneur — who filed for divorce from Jason Hoppy last week, shortly after announcing their separation — chokes back tears as she talks about feeling ashamed over the demise of her marriage.

“I feel like a bit of a disappointment to all of you, and I feel like a failure,” Frankel says, explaining that she “really put it out there” on her various reality shows, which highlighted her relationship with Hoppy.

When DeGeneres notes that the former “Real Housewives” star could have canceled their pre-scheduled interview, Frankel explains she thinks it’s important to be forthcoming with her fans.

“I can’t just only be on reality TV and show everything when it’s the fairy princess fairytale and then not take my hits when I have to,” she says.

“I don’t know how people go through this, because this is excruciating, I have to say,” adds Frankel.

Addressing rumors that she “chose business over love,” she says that “couldn’t be further from the truth.”

    I really liked her, I mean she was real and honest and funny! Her husband and her were really genuine and great together and I am sad to see their relationship dissolve like this! But isn’t that how celeb marriages always go….?

    This was an amazing interview…wish she would go throug with her marriage because it is hard…that i can understand…and there is things behind close doors that you can not take anymore and some people take them learn them and get past them….regardless the choice she made is the one she had to do…but the pain you go through regardless is unbearable and a learning experience in life… and you if you are not raising her child and paying her bills…everyone still judges others and so what your choice, and bethennys choice to divorce and her pain to deal with it is just that…..you go bethennay and continue to be corageous and strong, learn in life…and many blessings….

    Didn’t this “housewife” have a relationship with Martha Stewart? BF seems very much like Martha. I believe she had said she found MS distasteful for her private life, but atleast Martha maintained a private life….fame is a jealous, mean-spirited and selfish bitch you wanted it you got it enjoy!
