WATCH: Bethany Mota’s Jazz Routine Nabs Perfect Score On Dancing with the Stars
Bethany Mota and Derek Hough performed an amazing jazz routine on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars,” getting the second perfect score of the evening. For the show’s “Movie Night,” the pair paid homage to Gene Kelly, putting their spin on his iconic scene from Singin’ in the Rain.
Guest judge Kevin Hart said that it was “amazing” that Hough had the opportunity to pay homage to his idol, Kelly. Carrie Ann Inaba added that the performance was “insanely good,” noting, “There is nothing to say.” “You literally didn’t miss a step,” Julianne Hough told Mota. “Today you really became a woman in my eyes.”
While Mota and Hough waited for their scores, co-host Erin Andrews asked the YouTube star if she was stressed about the performance. “It was so much pressure to see how excited [Hough] was to perform to this song and how stressed out he was,” explained Mota. “Can you imaging how stressed out I was?”
Andrews then shared an amazing clip of Hough dancing to “Singin’ in the Rain” when he was just 4-years-old! Luckily, Mota had no reason to be worried. The couple earned an impressive 40 out of 40.
