Ben Higgins Picked To Be “The Bachelor”
Ben Higgins will be the next “Bachelor,” say multiple sources who were at the the “Men Tell All” taping a few days ago. As Gossip Cop reported, Higgins was eliminated on Monday’s “The Bachelorette” even though Kaitlyn Bristowe said she was falling in love with him, and that “Ben would make a great husband.” She also noted a number of times how “handsome” the software salesman from Denver is, which of course is a plus when casting the new “Bachelor.”
It should be no surprise that Higgins has seemingly been tapped, considering how well-liked he was and how he presented himself as a gentlemen throughout the season, as opposed to the final two men, Nick and Shawn, who are vying for Bristowe. Additionally, it’s become the norm for the second runner-up to be chosen. Bristowe was the third place finisher when Chris Soules was “The Bachelor,” Soules took the bronze in Andi Dorfman’s season, and Dorfman herself was the second runner-up on Juan Pablo Galavis’ season.
An official announcement won’t be made until the current season of “The Bachelorette” is over, but Gossip Cop has learned it’s just a matter of Higgins coming to an agreement with ABC. Gossip Cop reached out to ABC for a comment about Higgins being chosen as “The Bachelor,” though the network does not comment on casting as a matter of policy. What do you think about Ben Higgins being asked to be “The Bachelor”?
