Ben Higgins, Lauren Bushnell Breaking Up?
Are Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell breaking up? That’s what a tabloid report is claiming. Gossip Cop can help set the record straight.
According to this week’s In Touch, the couple’s reality show “Ben & Lauren: Happily Ever After?” won’t be renewed, and now Higgins and Bushnell will “go their separate ways.” A so-called “source” claims, “Their relationship has been tense for a while now, but their show being canceled was really the final straw.”
“They had been fighting constantly about where to live and about money,” continues the supposed snitch. “They were really banking on the show being a huge hit and solving all their problems. When that didn’t happen, it led them to rethink a lot of things, including their marriage decision.”
The magazine’s alleged tipster goes on to assert, “They’ve been putting on this happy front for months and they’re just sick of it. The plan right now is to finish out this season of the show, and then go their separate ways.” Notes In Touch, “They can both breath a sigh of relief.” The “source” even adds, “They’re relieved they don’t have to go through with a fake TV wedding.”
But Higgins and Bushnell’s reality show has NOT been canceled. No decision about the future of the Freeform series has been announced. Most importantly, though the couple has put wedding plans on hold, they aren’t splitting up.
On the same day this tabloid story hit newsstands, Higgins himself said in an interview, “We are together, happier than ever — no plans to break up!” He went on, “We’re in one of the best places we’ve ever been in our relationship — probably the best place.”
There’s no denying that “The Bachelor” doesn’t have the greatest track-record when it comes to its couples. And Higgins and Bushnell could discover down the road that it’s just not working out. But the In Touch claims that they are already preparing for a breakup are untrue. And let’s not forget this is the same outlet that months ago falsely said Higgins wanted to get back together with JoJo Fletcher.
