Kid Cudi Responds to Heartbreaking Death of Young Fan Ben Breedlove (VIDEO)

Ben Breedlove was an 18-year old from Austin, Texas who coped with a heart condition (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) for his entire life.

Last week, Breedlove posted two videos to YouTube detailing his incredible struggle with the illness, including several brushes with death.

In the clips, a silent Breedlove holds up written messages expressing courage and despair, happiness and fear.

Toward the end, he shares a vision he experienced during his most recent health scare, in which he saw himself in a white room with his favorite rapper, Kid Cudi.

“I was looking at myself in this mirror… I couldn’t stop smiling… I was proud of MYSELF, of my entire life, everything I have done. It was the BEST feeling,” explained the teen.

Breedlove died of a heart attack on Christmas.

Having heard about his young fan’s final YouTube messages and tragic death, Cudi posted a special note on his own blog.

“I am so sad about Ben Breedlove. I watched the video he left for the world to see, and him seeing me in detail, in his vision really warmed my heart. I broke down, I am to tears because I hate how life is so unfair,” writes the rapper.

He continues, “This has really touched my heart in a way I can’t describe, this is why I do what I do. Why I write my life, and why I love you all so much. Life is really f*cked up sometimes, but I know Ben is at Peace, and I hope he gets a chance to sit and talk with my Dad. We love you Ben. Forever. Thank you for loving me.”

Cudi concludes, “To Ben’s family, you raised a real hero, he’s definitely mine. You have my love.”

    I believe the holy spirit of God lets us see a famiiar face….be it our fav. singer or a loved one…I had a similar story where i seen people i knew, but i truly believe it was Gods hands letting me see what would comfort me…..amazing story at that!!!     Maybe rather then raising money for the Breedloves to donate to charity, why don’t you just raise money for the Breedloves? I’m sure they need money for hospital fees and the funeral. This seems more practical than waving money in the face of a family in need and telling them to give it away.
