Ben Affleck “Heartbroken” Over Robin Williams’ Death: I Owe Him “Everything”
Ben Affleck, who co-wrote and starred in Good Will Hunting, for which Robin Williams won a Best Supporting Oscar in 1998, says he’s “heartbroken” and owes “everything” to the legendary actor who died after hanging himself with a belt.
On Tuesday, Affleck wrote on his Facebook page, “Heartbroken. Thanks chief – for your friendship and for what you gave the world. Robin had a ton of love in him. He personally did so much for so many people. He made Matt [Damon] and my dreams come true.”
“What do you owe a guy who does that? Everything,” adds Affleck.
He concludes, “May you find peace my friend. #RobinWilliams.“
Fans too have been publicly mourning, including setting up memorials like the one at the bench in Boston Public Gardens where Williams and Damon shared a famous scene in Good Will Hunting.
