Ben Affleck “Meltdown” And Partying Claim NOT True
Ben Affleck is NOT having a “meltdown” and partying out of control, despite a bogus webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Affleck supposedly “spent a night partying away without his wife Jennifer Garner” prior to last week’s London premiere of the new comic book movie, Suicide Squad, in which he makes a cameo appearance as Batman. The site claims the actor looked “odd and disheveled” while walking the red carpet, further alleging he appeared “hung over and bloated and worse, in desperate need of an intervention of sorts.”
The repeatedly discredited website then goes on to reference a New York Post article about Affleck’s appearance at the film premiere. CDL notes how a source told the publication, “It was very late at night. It looked a lot worse than it was.” However, in between those two sentences, the source also explained to the New York Post, “He’s not off the rails,” but disreputable webloid conveniently decided to leave that line out of its piece.
But aside from picking and choosing quotes from another publication’s source, the site doesn’t actually have a single source of its own to backup the phony assertion that Affleck is having a “meltdown.” Still, the webloid goes on to baselessly theorize, “Garner is going to be livid when she finds out.”
But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Affleck, who exclusively assures us the actor is doing perfectly well, and any claims otherwise are simply “not true.” Of course, this inaccurate story is coming from the same outlet that Gossip Cop corrected for wrongly reporting Affleck and Garner were calling off their divorce. Prior to that, we busted the webloid for falsely claiming Affleck and Kate Beckinsale were reuniting. This latest report is just more lies from the frequently unreliable outlet.
