Ben Affleck, Amy Adams And Henry Cavill Do Batman Voice On ‘Graham Norton Show’ (VIDEO)
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice stars Ben Affleck, Amy Adams and Henry Cavill appeared on Friday’s “Graham Norton Show,” during which the cast of the superhero movie all performed their version of the Batman voice. Watch the funny video below!
One of Batman’s signature characteristics is his deep, growling voice, which was perfected by Christian Bale in the Dark Knight trilogy. On the latest episode of the British talk show, host Norton pointed out that Bale performed the signature voice himself, but Affleck’s vocals were digitally changed in post-production. “Christian’s a great actor,” Affleck said. “For me, I required an electronic manipulation of the voice to do it.”
But the actor also noted that unlike in previous installments of the comic book franchise, his Batman has an electronic device within his costume to disguise his voice. “I performed the voice and then Zack [Snyder] was able to change it with a computer later on,” Affleck explained. “So I just played the part and then when I watched the movie, the voice was different.”
Norton then brought out a modulated microphone that had the ability to create the Batman voice by simply speaking into it. He asked the cast to demonstrate their takes on the character, with Affleck going first and rumbling, “I’d like a large pizza. Pepperoni. Two Pepsis.” The actor then passed the microphone to Adams, who intensely asked, “Do you bleed?” a notorious line from the film’s trailer. “Im glad you didn’t get to do that before, you would have taken my job,” Affleck joked. And Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, offered, “I’m Batman. I’m secretly in love with Superman.” Watch the funny video below from the “Graham Norton Show.”
