Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg ripped ABC on Tuesday for not inviting “The View” crew to the Academy Awards.

Although Goldberg, an Oscar winner, presented at Sunday’s awards show, the rest of the co-hosts weren’t allowed to have red carpet time, despite the presence of other daytime shows.

“It was a shame to walk down that carpet to see every other daytime show represented except ‘Rachael Ray,’ and we weren’t there,” said Goldberg during the morning’s “Hot Topics.”

She went on to point out, “I hate to ring my own bell, but what the hell? ‘The View’ is the only show that has an Oscar winner on the panel, and I thought it was a crying shame that we weren’t there.”

Walters agreed, and accused ABC of treating the show unfairly in the past, too.

“We don’t get promos the way others [do], we’re sort of the stepchildren of it. [Producer] Bill [Geddie] and I have done Academy Award specials year after year, but you know, we’re still here,” said the veteran journalist, who will retire this spring.
