Malia Obama’s parents, former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, are not “worried” about her living in New York, despite a fake news story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this made-up report. We’re told it’s untrue.

HollywoodLife, a site that has verifiably and repeatedly been caught manufacturing articles, now claims the Obamas are concerned about Malia living in New York while she works as an intern for The Weinstein Company. A so-called “source” tells the webloid, “As much as [the Obamas] trust her, they can’t help but worry” about Malia. Curiously, the highly suspect report doesn’t point to anything specific that the former President and First Lady are nervous about. The often discredited outlet simply alleges they’re concerned about her “living in the big city all alone.”

Of course, Malia is actually never really alone. The former First Daughter still has significant security around her all the time. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, and we’re told the Obamas are no more worried about Malia in New York than any other parent or than they’ve been when she’s traveled without them, like she did when she took a trip to Aspen in February.

Remember, HollywoodLies, as it is known, is also the same site that Gossip Cop busted for making up a story that claimed former President Obama called Beyonce to congratulate on her twins right after the news was revealed that the singer was expecting again. Much like that article, the current report about the Obamas being “worried” about Malia living in New York is also untrue.
