The 2016 BAFTAs are taking place at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday, and Hollywood’s biggest stars are walking the red carpet. Check out the photos below from the BAFTAs.

The BAFTAs are essentially the British equivalent of the Oscars. Bridge Of Spies and Carol lead with nine nominations apiece, followed by The Revenant with eight nods, Mad Maxy: Fury Road with seven, The Martian and Brooklyn with six, and The Big Short, Ex Machina, and The Danish Girl tied for five nominations.

The acting nominees mirror, to an extent, those of this year’s Academy Awards with Leonardo DiCaprio and Eddie Redmayne battling other actors for the top male prize, while Brie Larson and Cate Blanchett represent among some of the female contenders. One notable exception is Idrid Elba, who was notcieably snubbed by the Oscars, but is up for a supporting actor BAFTA for Beasts of No Nation. And while Jennifer Lawrence, Sylvester Stallone and Rachel McAdams received Oscar nods, they were not nominated for a BAFTA Award.

Other categories include Best Director, Screenplay, Animated Film, Documentary, and Rising Star Award, for which Larson, John Boyega, Taron Egerton, Dakota Johnson, and Bel Powley are nominated. The ceremony, hosted by Stephen Fry for the 11th time, again comes exactly two weeks before the Oscars. Check out the photos below of the stars on the red carpet.
