“Hey, Miley Cyrus,” writes the New York Daily News, “you made $25 million last year – toss a dollar in the tip cup.”

According to the paper, Cyrus recently bought $70 worth of steak and macaroni and cheese for her and big sister Brandi at the Outback Steakhouse in Burbank, and forked over a crisp $100 bill, but, said the paper’s source, “kept all the change.” No tip. At minimum the “Hannah Montana” star should have left a 15 percent ($10.50) tip, right?

Other outlets picked up the tab report, including Perez Hilton, who offered his two cents: “You’d think with as much ca$$h as Miley Cyrus (sic) raking in, she’d have the decency to leave a tip. Not true!

Actually what’s not true is the account of what happened. In fact, more than 15 percent of the story was left out. After a bunch of calls Gossip Cop found out that the Cyrus sisters didn’t eat at the restaurant. They picked up the grub to go. And a rep for Cyrus also confirmed, “It was a take-out order,” hence no need for a tip.

I still tip the same for Takeout..I worked in the food service for many years. Takeout is much harder to get everything together and make sure you have all condiments, utensil’s etc. Plus takeout or not the server is still making on average 2.20 an hr. Give them a break. Come on Miley you are rich, don’t be so cheap!

Well I guess like everything else, everyone has a different opinion.
I also worked in the food industry, and I totally disagree with the previous comment.
Take out is NOT more difficult than waiting tables! Nobody I know ever tips on take out orders. Including me.
They are not really giving you any special service. They are bagging it up, not serving you, or filling drinks or offering desserts. Just because Miley has money doesn’t mean she has to be foolish. I see WAY too many take out places with tip jars out. For what? They expect a tip for doing their job? I tip when I am being catered to. Nobody should tip on take out orders unless they feel a need to, wealthy or not!
