“The Bachelorette: Men Tell All” special brought back some of the season’s most beloved – and controversial – contestants.
On Monday, more than a dozen of Andi Dorfman’s rejected suitors gathered to reflect on the show and reminisce over never-before-seen footage.
But before all the drama, the episode kicked off with a special appearance from former “Bachelorette” Ashley Hebert Rosenbaum and her husband J.P. Rosenbaum.
The real surprise was the fact that the couple was willing to do a a live ultrasound to find out the sex of their baby on national television.
Now that was a true “Bachelor” first!
J.P. had tears in his eyes as the couple learned that they were having a boy.
Former contestants Chris Bukowski, Michelle Money, Graham Bunn and Sarah Herron were in the audience to promote “Bachelor in Paradise,” and Harrison couldn’t help poke fun at Bukowski for crashing Dorfman’s cocktail hour at the beginning of the season.
The guys came out wearing scarves to mock how they wore a lot of scarves throughout the season.
The laughs turned serious, though, when Marquel was asked to talk about the racial slur that JJ claimed Andrew said during a rose ceremony.
Marquel noted that whether Andrew said it or not, he forgives him — but he “will not forgive the ignorance that is racism.”
Andrew continued to deny that he referred to Ron and Marguel as “blackies” or “black guys,” adding that the accusations have negatively affected his personal life.
He went on to accuse JJ of starting trouble.
Andrew eventually apologized to Marquel for the misunderstanding.
JJ said he stands by what he did, but the guys weren’t willing to accept that he had the right intentions.
Marquel then joined Harrison as the first guy in the “hot seat.” He noted that he couldn’t get out of the “friend zone” with Dorfman. He said he didn’t kiss her because he felt like she didn’t want him to.
Harrison then announced that he would get another shot at finding love as a contestant on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Marquel was already a fan favorite, but he really tipped the scales in his favor when he brought the audiences cookies to eat.
Marcus was the next guy to chat with Harrison one-on-one with about his relationship with Dorfman and how heartbroken he was after he was sent home.
“Andi was a real love for me, and I took it very seriously,” Marcus told the host. “It does take a strong person to be vulnerable and open, and if you feel something, don’t hide it and play games with it. If you love somebody, tell them every day.”
“I’m still open to the fact of finding love, and the right girl is out there,” said Marcus. “That’s kind of the journey that I want to take is finding the right girl for me.”
Harrison revealed that Marcus would also appear on “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Chris was the final guy to sit in the hot seat and discuss what went wrong with Dorfman.
He admitted that being from a small town in Iowa was one hurdle that they had faced. Harrison was quick to assure him that Dorfman truly loved his family.
In an interesting turn of events, a female audience member was allowed to join Harrison and Chris on stage.
During a bit of awkward conversation, Harrison suggested that Chris and the audience member go on a speed date during the break, and the two later exchanged digits.
Let’s call that another “Bachelor” first!
Dorfman finally took the stage, admitting that she was nervous about having to face so many “exes” in one room.
“I had the most fun in your hometown,” she told Chris, while maintaining that she didn’t believe their relationship had a strong enough foundation to be taken to the next level.
Dorfman told Marcus that she was so happy that he was so open with her in the beginning, but added that she eventually realized that his feelings were much stronger than hers were.
Marquel grilled Dorfman about why she never gave him a 1-on-1 date.
Dorfman deflected the question by asking if he was too shy to kiss her.
“No, not at all,” Marquel said. “I just didn’t know everyone was kissing you the first time they met you.”
Marquel’s hilarious response garnered a hearty laugh from Dorfman and the audience.
Dorfman also addressed the pregnancy rumors surrounding her nights in the Fantasy Suite.
As Gossip Cop was first to reveal, “The Bachelorette” is NOT pregnant.
Next, Harrison surprised the audience with the answers from the lie detector group date, which Dorfman has previously ripped up.
Guess, they made multiple copies.
Dorfman learned that Chris and Brian didn’t lie at all.
Nothing shocking there.
Marcus lied about having sex with less than 20 women. Whoops.
Dylan previously said he prefers brunettes, when in reality he likes blondes.
The most shocking revelation was that Josh had been caught in two lies.
In the end, Dorfman decided not to hear what her potential suitor had lied about because he wasn’t there to defend himself.
Next week, Dorfman will choose between Nick and Josh in “The Bachelorette” season finale.
