On Tuesday, ABC announced the 25 lucky men who will compete for the single mother’s heart in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Among the contestants is a mushroom farmer, a race car driver (like Maynard’s late fiancé, Ricky Hendrick), a marine biologist and a model.

“The Bachelorette” premieres on May 14.

    I went to college with Ryan and my husband played college football with him. He is TRULY and amazing guy, inside and out. One of the nicet guys I’ve ever met. I hope he does well! Mostly, I hope if she chooses Ryan that she treats him well. He deserves it. Go Ryan!

    Not to sound like an idiot, but has this whole show taken place and they just haven’t aired it yet? Is that why we get a chance to see what the guys look like? I am glad to read that these are normally unflattering pics because I was like, “whoa, girl got scammed” LOL I dont’ watch this show that often but I did watch her season on the Bachelor, so I might watch this. I think putting the race car driver guy in there was pretty much a set up though *duh I know*

    I cannot wait for this show to start and the best part is I cannot wait for it to end. This show has gone downhill and is no longer any fun to watch. I will miss Dancing With The Stars so much. I can’t wait for them to return, and they haven’t even left the airwaves yet. DWTS has an audience that is growing as each season goes, but…. The Bachelor(ette) has drastically lost its appeal and has become annoying, as their audience is diminishing radically. Once they started using the “same old people” is where they took a wrong turn. Let’s hope this is the last time this program will tie up the airwaves. It is almost neck and neck with those horrible Kardashians.

    I am happy for Emily and “Lil Ricki”. I don’t think The producers did an overwhelming good job in selecting physical attractive guys, but then physical attractive men aren’t necessary good prospects. If Emily went on appearances, it would mean she is not serious and shallow. But I believe she is serious in trying to find someone to build a good relationship with. She realizes that six to eight weeks is not time enough to establish a lasting relationship in most cases, but she is willing to start the journey. I personally like Tony,Ryan,Randy and Charlie for her. As for the young Black guy, we all know he is an aversion…..just eye candy for the opening show.

    I hate how these reality shows will need 10-15 cast members, but only find 1-2 black people to be on their show. If it isn’t INTENTIONAL than how does this happen? I hope the two black guys that filed law suits against The Bachelor win. You can’t tell me there isn’t ONE black male or black female that couldn’t be featured as The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. Then people always ask dumb questions like “Why do black people have to have BET, Miss Black America, Black History Month, blah, blah, blah … well people this is WHY!

This season she’s testing 25 men on national tv for all to witness. Previews show her daughter being a big part of her process in choosing her future husband. One has to wonder…what motivates that once shy, heartbroken, single mother.

    She may have made a poor choice (not judging her at all) to sleep with someone (fiance) when she was younger, which brought her a bundle of joy, but she is trying her best to be a great example for her little girl. She did refuse to sleep with Brad on “The Bachelor” last season, at the end of the show-in front of the world viewers-she showed good morales and ethics, to me, at that time. If she were sleeping with each guy now, I would see your point; but she is not. She is just dating them. Sounds like you may be jealous of her beauty inside and out. Don’t be-we all have choices to make. God made us each with our own beauty and with the ability to make decisions for our selves.

    It’s not that she is a slut, it’s that she justs kisses all of those guys with an open mouth. Diseases still exist you know. Anyway, I guess the producers told her to make it look good, but for a woman it still looks bad and I believe that most of those guys just look a it as a game anyway. They probable just want to see who will be the best man and win her heart and then they will not marry her. Whoever wins her heart in the end may even throw all that kissing of those men back into her face later on using it as an excuse to get rid of her if the relationship does not work out.
