‘The Bachelor’ Recap: Nick Viall Final Four Chosen For Hometown Dates
“The Bachelor” on Monday had Nick Viall narrowing down the women to the final four with whom he’ll go on hometown dates. While on the island of Bimini in the Bahamas, he went on one group date and three one-on-one dates. Get the full recap and spoilers below!
The seventh episode of “The Bachelor” began where it left off, with Nick unsure he would ever find love and him doubting the entire process. Naturally, Nick consulted with Chris Harrison, and expressed how he’s generally very confident with his relationships, but wasn’t this time around. Meanwhile, the women were concerned that he was going to simply walk away from it all. While still in St. Thomas, before flying to the Bahamas, Nick met with the nervous women and assured them that after some reflection, he’s excited to continue getting to know them.
After arriving in Bimini, Nick went on a one-on-one date with Vanessa. They took a boat ride and went snorkeling, before kissing in the ocean. Over dinner later, Vanessa told Nick she could see a future with him, and was looking forward to introducing him to her family during the hometown date. She then confessed, “I’m falling in love with you,” which was greeted by him kissing her. But she told the camera later that she was “hurt” he didn’t say he was in love, too.
Next was the group date with Corinne, Kristina, and Raven. For that excursion, the four of them went swimming with sharks. Kristina was so nervous after seeing a shark that she got back on the boat, where Nick comforted her. Afterwards at the resort, Nick spent alone time with each of the three women. He then gave Raven the date rose, which insured she was getting a hometown date. Later, Raven and Nick went out and were treated to a concert on the beach by Adam Friedman.
The next one-on-one was with Danielle M. This time, Nick stayed on land and went bicycle riding with the bachelorette around Bimini. Over drinks that afternoon, however, Nick struggled to hold a conversation with her. Later that night over drinks, Nick realized he couldn’t continue with Danielle M. and told her he was “sorry.” In tears, she then got her belongings from the house where the women were staying and left.
That night, Corinne went to Nick’s hotel room to have sex with him. She told the camera, “My heart is gold, but my ‘vagine’ is platinum.” Nick told the bachelorette he was a bit “surprised” by her impromptu visit. Still, they drank champagne and kissed in his hotel suite until Corinne suggested they go into his bedroom. The bachelor could be heard behind the closed door saying, “I don’t think this is a good idea.” Corinne then left and said in voiceover that she may have made a big mistake going to his room.
Rachel then had the show’s last one-on-one date with Nick. Basically, the two went to a local bar, drank beer, and talked about what a hometown date would mean. Rachel told Nick, “I never brought home a white guy,” but that it wasn’t a big deal. The two then made out.
At the end of the episode, instead of a rose ceremony to send home just one woman, Nick went to the house where the bachelorettes were living and took Kristina outside. He told her he “has such a love” for her, but was not “in love” with her. And with that, Corinne, Rachel, Raven, and Vanessa were each getting hometown dates.
