Celebrities aren’t the only ones getting creative this Halloween. A crafty Maryland dad named Ryan Bowen and his adorable six-month-old baby son Geraint, may have just topped everyone with an incredible costume inspired by the MechWarrior video game series character Sunder.

The unbelievable faux robot keeps Bowen hidden while his son, safely strapped to him, appears to be controlling some pretty intimidating weaponry. Bowen’s wife Cassandra explains, “My husband had this costume planned for several years, long before we had a child. The inspiration was a computer game he played in high school. When we found out we were having a baby, he got to work. Ryan sketched out the rough designs probably two months before Geraint was born.”

The robot frame is made from PVC and wrapped in a cardboard shell. Add some foam board and cable wraps and Velcro and — voilà! — you have a baby MechWarrior killer! “He did a wonderful job and I am so proud of him. It looks amazing and Geraint loves it!” says Cassandra.

While we hope the Bowens didn’t decide to have a baby for the sake of this awesome costume, we couldn’t blame them if they did. Check out some pictures and video of the “Father & Son MechWarrior” outfit below!
