Azealia Banks Files Battery Report Against Russell Crowe After Hotel Fight
Azealia Banks has filed a battery report against Russell Crowe following an altercation during a dinner party in his hotel room Saturday night. The rapper reportedly decided to go to the police because the actor is refusing to apologize for his alleged part in the incident.
As Gossip Cop reported, Banks claimed on Facebook that Crowe called her the N-word, choked her and spat on her during a fight at a party in his hotel suite. Crowe had around 10 guests over for dinner, including rapper RZA, who brought Banks along. But the actor’s camp is denying any wrongdoing on Crowe’s part, insisting that Banks initiated the altercation by insulting the actor and his friends before threatening to stab them with a piece of glass. He then physically removed her from his room after she grabbed a glass, and immediately called hotel security, who kicked her off the property. It’s also being reported that it was Banks, and not Crowe, who was repeatedly using the N-word.
Banks deleted her initial accusatory Facebook posts, but she’s still sticking by her story. On Sunday, the rapper brought the matter to the Beverly Hills Police Department, and on Monday, she posted a cryptic Facebook message reading, “I have receipts. Stay tuned.” Her attorney later tweeted the statement, “Azealia is tremendously distraught and disheartened. She is shell shocked and will speak out on the incident once she has had time to process the brutality and abuse she was unjustly subjected to.”
