As Gossip Cop confirmed some time ago, Charlie Sheen was back on the set of “Two and a Half Men” on Monday, and last night he taped his first episode since being arrested on Christmas Day for allegedly threatening his wife Brooke Mueller with a knife.

According to Chuck Lorre, the creator and executive producer of “Two and a Half Men,” the audience was ”incredibly supportive.” Lorre added, “We did a live show in front of a studio audience and it was a big success for us.”

Gossip Cop would like to know if the incident affected whether you’ll be watching “Two and a Half Men” or not. And how so?

True fans will always be supportive!

It’s too bad that people find his behavior acceptable. A very sad commentary on the state of things. What a total loser!

I guess “true fans” find domestic violence acceptable. How very sad and shallow.

So do we really consider it news, or a surprise, when some ignorant yahoos on holiday cream their jeans because they managed to score some tix to a sh*t-com? Really?? If anything, this speaks to the kind of press and media favoritism, not to mention unfair advantage in the court of public opinion that the ‘celebrity,’ spouse has over a non-celebrity spouse. Which could in fact lead to the non-celebrity spouse (in this case Brooke Mueller) feeling threatened and without power, so much so, that she attempts, at her husband’s urging (and/or threats) to drop all charges and attempt a reconciliation. She may feel what choice do I have – listen to the rousing applause at the taping, he’s told me many a time, that he has connections, that he was powerful – that I was nothing…here’s proof…I should listen to him and drop the charges.

I’m glad the prosecutor/judge/da most likely won’t listen to her. Secretly, she may be glad as well.
