Jennifer Lawrence Named “Most Desirable” Woman of 2013 in AskMen Top 99 List

Jennifer Lawrence has been named the Most Desirable Woman in the World for 2013, according to AskMen’s just-released annual Top 99 list.

The Silver Linings Playbook actress rose from #47 last year to the top spot based on a poll of 2.4 million readers, beating out Mila Kunis, whom Esquire recently picked as the “sexiest woman alive.”

AskMen calls “desirability” a combination of “beauty, brains, ambition and charm,” with everything from sex appeal to humor and professional achievements considered.

The list is sure to inspire debate.

    I think a large part of this is that she has big boobs. I would hardly say she has “brains” either from the interviews that i have seen.

    Did you read the part that desirability ratings were based on more than just looks? One of the criteria of desirability was past years accomplishments and the girl was the female lead in the highest grossing movie in 2012 anchored by a female. She is also a lock for an oscar nom for Silver Linings Playbook, and has some serious curves. So, yes, I can see why she’d be number 1. Frankly I think the top 10 is a pretty good list of attractive women that possess other qualities in addition to their looks.

    Congrats to Jennifer, she really deserves it! She’s not only an outstanding actress, but a “real” woman as well. She has hips, a great body, and isn’t a stick figure. She also has a great personality. All in all, she is beautiful, inside and out! A real class act.

    The movie was already a success no matter what actress got the role of Katniss. Jennifer did not make THG a success it was going to be a success no matter what it was a given. Just saying Jenwas great in it but no matter who got the lead the movie would have done the same.

    Really? THG grossed $400M+. Twilight has a huge number of fans of both the books and the actors/actresses and only one of its movies crossed $300M and that one just barely so and none of the Harry Potter movies crossed $400M either. THG did have a number of fans seeing the movie because of the book but that’s not enough to get it past $400M. Jennifer Lawrence herself (as well as the other actors in the movie) were part of the draw. You could not sub any actress and get those kinds of numbers.

She is not a celebrity like other stars who are famous for who they date and/or because they was in a franchise and gained fans b/c of that. She is a quality actress and is the second youngest actress to ever be nominated for an ACADEMY AWARD FOR BEST ACTRESS. And there is talk about her being nominated for another Oscar.
