Ashton Kutcher revealed during his Wednesday appearance on “The Talk” that being a stepdad to his ex-wife Demi Moore’s teenage daughters helped prepare him for fatherhood.

The “Two And A Half Men” star, who welcomed daughter Wyatt Isabelle earlier this month with fiancée Mila Kunis, noted how he helped raise Moore’s daughters Rumer, Scout and Tallulah Willis. “I’ve been a parent to teenage girls before in my life and so I have experience with girls and experience with that from like age seven till like 25,” he said. “But infants was a whole new thing. We really went and started studying what it is to take care of a baby and how you do it. And it’s all on Google!”

He added, “Everybody says when you get a child they don’t come with an owner’s manual, but that’s kind of not true because Google is kind of like an owner’s manual,” he explained. “You can pretty much Google anything and it’s there. For me, I go to my partner, and I talk to Mila and we make choices. We both did a lot of research on infants.”

Kutcher says the whole experience of being a first-dad dad has been “pretty exceptional.” Surprisingly, Kutcher said, “We decided right away that we didn’t want to have nanny or a night nurse or anything… I kind of have a hero complex a little bit. I am somebody’s hero now. It fulfills every bit of your ego.” He continued, “When the kid starts to cry and you are like , ‘Oh, I got this.'”
