Ashton Kutcher Tapes First “Two and a Half Men” as “Charlie Harper” Dies

Ashton Kutcher debuted in front of the “Two and a Half Men” cameras last night, as he taped the first post-Charlie Sheen episode, a season premiere featuring the funeral of Sheen’s Charlie Harper character.

It’s been revealed that Kutcher’s character, an Internet billionaire named Walden Schmidt, buys the late Harper’s Malibu house, where the sitcom mostly takes place.

Other details about the episode’s story have been kept secret, with scenes reportedly being shot out of sequence and in multiple takes to preserve the mystery.

Series creator and Sheen nemesis Chuck Lorre has not revealed how Harper dies on the show.

There will be a number of big names at the faux funeral, including Jenny McCarthy and John Stamos, according to TMZ.

The premiere on September 19 coincides with the broadcast of Sheen’s Comedy Central roast.

    Well, they’ve lost me. I could see a show without Sheen and with Kutcher. But killing the character off? That’s just macabre and incredibly mean-spirited and immature on the producer’s part. And NOT FUNNY! Okay, it’s just not a funny idea. So cool, not watching this show and Mike and Molly just freed up an hour of my week.

    I’ll tune in just to see how they spin this, but I have 2 major questions. #1 Why would a billionaire invite 2 complete strangers to come live with him? It’s not like he needs help paying the mortgage. #2 Why wouldn’t Charlie’s family have inherited the house & other property after his death?

    That’s what I wanted to see..Alan inheriting the house and maybe taking in a boarder, thus enters Kutcher, because Alan always has money problems. But a billionaire…that just doesn’t interest me in the least. Hey, make a spinoff for Jake..that would be more interesting.

    yeah its gonna die off for sure without him… lorre wanted him dead and he’s dead – but maybe so is more careers than just sheens! there will be a public funeral for charlie harper on sept 18 in woodland hills, ca, all fans should go pay their respects to our fav character – or u can watch webcast on mysendoff.com
