Under the headline, “Exclusive: Ashton Kutcher Caught Cheating on Demi Moore!” Star magazine writes, “Just five years after getting married, the couple’s relationship is in danger of falling apart as… the actor was caught cheating with a sexy, young 20-something.”

The tab claims an “eyewitness” saw Kutcher “kissing and groping a hot young blonde by an out-of-the-way bathroom at Italian restaurant Madeo in L.A.”

“Ashton had this gorgeous girl pinned against the wall, and he was totally making out with her,” says the so-called “eyewitness,” adding, “I was shocked to see him sucking face with a girl who obviously wasn’t Demi.”

Not only did a rep for the actor deny it, but Kutcher himself took to Twitter to share a few words about the tabloid’s tale.

“I think Star magazine calling me a ‘cheater’ qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees,” he first tweeted, followed by a second tweet: “STAR magazine – you don’t get to stand behind ‘freedom of the press’ when you are writing fiction.”

Kutcher’s wife agreed by tweeting that she felt there was “no question” it’s defamation.

Gossip Cop called Star‘s editor-in-chief to see if the publication stood by its reporting, but has yet to hear back.
