Ashley Greene to Star as Female ‘Oliver Twist’

Ashley Greene is trading fangs for Fagin.

The Twilight actress will star as “Olivia” in a gender-reversed adaptation of “Oliver Twist.”

In the project, a modern take on Charles Dickens’ classic, Greene’s character is part of a group of street kids who wind up caught in a criminal turf war.

Greene, of course, will return to screens as vampire Alice Cullen when Breaking Dawn is released in November.

This is definitely an unexpected role for the up-and-coming star.

    I like Ashley she can play diverse roles, the movie, Summers Moon was awful but her acting was good. I might go see this.

    I hope by the time this movie comes out, she`s learned a little grace and appreciation for her fans. She does not have the best reputation this year at TIFF. Twice, at media events, she`s snubbed fans and tonight, on the red carpet at the premiere of “Butter”, she only signed a couple of autographs and only came out to sign more (to the same group!!) after Jennifer Garner made her way all the way around to everyone. I like Ashley but she needs to learn a little bit about the politics of show biz. Don’t piss on the people that put you where you are. I’m really disappointed because Alice is my favourite Cullen.

    i hate ashlee greene. she acts as if she is famous. like gurl you appeared in a shitty franchise and you were not one of the main characters. i don’t know why she keeps getting roles. she is ugly as fuck and has the shittiest nose in hollywood.

    There’s no law that says we have to like Ashley or any other person for that matter. And judging from the comments here, I can assure you none of us will even be in line to see this film.
