Ashlee Simpson Files for Divorce from Pete Wentz

Ashlee Simpson has filed for divorce from Pete Wentz.

She is citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason.

The couple married in 2008.

They have a two-year-old son named Bronx.

Simpson is asking for joint legal custody and primary physical custody.

“After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the couple says in a statement.

“We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority. We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”

    I would like to point out that back in October 2010 they were defending that their wasn’t “trouble in paradise” and now they file for divorce! Hmmmm

    What a surprise! Seriously. I’m not saying I thought they would grow old together, but they did seem very into one another and their little family. That’s so sad for their little one. Do celebrities think of the kids anymore, or are they above that?

    i think celebrities do think of their children when going through a break up…you have to understand…sometimes being apart is better than being together and having to hear the kids crying because they hear their parents yelling at each other and stuff…do you really want a child to grow up in a house, where it is okay to yell at one another?
