Arnold Schwarzenegger: Donald Trump Needs “Fact Checker”
As Gossip Cop reported, on Friday Schwarzenegger announced he’s leaving “Celebrity Apprentice” after just one season as host. In a statement, he raved about his experience on the NBC competition, but decried the “baggage” that came with it. And in an interview, the former governor said Trump’s association with the show tarnished the program.
Now less than a day later, Trump is claiming Schwarzenegger didn’t quit, but got the boot. He tweeted Saturday morning, “Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show.”
Roughly 40 minutes later, Schwarzenegger responded. He wrote back on Twitter, “You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker.” This, of course, is not the first time the two have feuded on social media.
After “Celebrity Apprentice” premiered in January, Trump ripped the show’s ratings in a tweet, leading Schwarzenegger to fire back. The president then hit the bodybuilder, actor, and politician during a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast last month. Schwarzenegger again used to Twitter to stand up for himself. With this latest round, Gossip Cop suspects this feud is far from over.
