Arnold Schwarzenegger is going from governor to kidnapper.

Kind of.

The movie star will return from his political career to the big screen in Cry Macho, a drama about a horse trainer who’s fallen on hard times and is offered $400,000 to kidnap his former boss’ 9-year-old son from his ex-wife.

Brad Furman is set to direct, with filming slated to begin in September.

Schwarzenegger’s role is seen as a more nuanced character study than his typical fare, such as the Terminator franchise, which the former governor is also reported to be resurrecting.
