Ariana Grande Breaks Into Tears During Madison Square Garden Concert (VIDEO)
Ariana Grande gave an emotional performance during her sold-out Madison Square Garden concert on Friday. Check out the video below.
The singer, who had already become emotional earlier in the evening when acknowledging that she was doing her first sold-out show at the historic venue with her family in attendance, broke into tears during “My Everything.” Grande stopped singing and held the microphone to her mouth as she cried. Grande went on to sing the rest of the track, but asked the audience for help, and whispered, “I’m sorry.”
“My Everything” is the title track from Grande’s second album, which was released last summer, and the poignant song is about her late grandfather. Grande tweeted after the show, “One of the most special nights of my life. thank you ny, madison square garden. can’t stop crying. i’m so overwhelmed and happy. ty i love u.” She added, “Y’all are such a gift.” Grande will take the stage at the Garden again on Saturday.
As Gossip Cop reported, Grande announced hours before Friday’s show that she had sponsored 15 dogs that fans could adopt. Throughout the concert, images appeared of the available pooches, with contact information for those interested. Grande had already covered the adoption fees and costs, and noted on Instagram, “The team WILL OF COURSE be making sure that the people who reach out will make a suitable family / home for the pups in need.”
The dogs will also be up for grabs during Saturday’s concerts, ensuring another emotional night, even if Grande doesn’t break into tears again. Watch the video below, and tell us what you think.
