Ariana Grande Sings About Wanting To Be In Adult “Scandal” During ‘SNL’ Monologue – WATCH VIDEO
Ariana Grande opened her “SNL” monologue by singing about wanting to be in an adult scandal after her minor brouhaha of licking a donut. See the video below of Grande’s signing during her “Saturday Night Live” monologue.
After acknowledging her childish scandal of licking a donut, Grande sang about wanting to be a “hot mess.” She name checked Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, and how they’ve had their own scandals. Grande then crooned about trashing a hotel room and getting kicked off plane. She even said she would be happy to have her phone hacked and smoke crack.
This is the first time Grande has hosted “Saturday Night Live.” She was previously the musical guest in September 2014, and appeared in a sketch that time. In the bit, Grande played a doll that came to life, and once in the real world she realized she liked touching herself and breaking things in a young boy’s house.
On Friday, Grande said she had no problem embarrassing herself on “SNL.” She told Ryan Seacrest in a radio interview that she told the show’s writers that she didn’t want them to “hold back.” She added that she urged them to “make an ass out of me,” and was willing to do “anything” and appear as “a full out idiot” in sketches. While most guest hosts read off cue cards, Grande noted she was going to “memorize everything” because of her poor eyesight, which she said was a plus because she wouldn’t be able to see the audience’s responses to her skits.
With her hosting of “Saturday Night Live,” Grande joins a group of other performers who have pulled double duty as both the host and musical guest, including Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, and Lady Gaga. Check out the video below of Ariana Grande’s “SNL” monologue.
