Ariana Grande Fan Crashes Concert Stage (VIDEO)
Ariana Grande had an unwelcome visitor during a concert on Tuesday, when a supposed fan crashed the stage. Watch below.
Grande is one month into her “Dangerous Woman Tour,” and last night’s stop had her in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center. The singer was in the midst of her set when the incident occurred, and at first, she wasn’t aware what was taking place. Grande sat on the stage singing what sounds like her track “Moonlight” with faux smoke surrounding her.
But suddenly out of the fog, a young guy appeared behind her. It’s unclear how he accessed the stage, but in video footage, a security guard can be seen reaching up in an unsuccessful attempt to grab him. The man starts walking toward Grande, and waves when he gets into her line of vision, probably no more than two feet away from the star. He’s then grabbed from behind by a guard who pulls him away.
Grande briefly stops singing, and yells, “Hey, chill out!” She then instructs her bodyguard, “Be careful with him.” Ever the pro, though, Grande then resumed singing and nailed a high note.
The performer, of course, is not the first to be in such a situation. As Gossip Cop reported, in 2015 Taylor Swift was nearly yanked off stage, and one month later, an alleged fan was arrested for crashing the stage after sneaking into her show. That same year, Adam Levine was rushed by a fan who threw her arms around his neck and left him bleeding.
Grande’s tour resumes Friday in Boston, and will hopefully be incident-free. Check out the footage below.
