Ariana Grande and Chris Brown’s duet release has been postponed in the wake of Brown getting jailed.

“Don’t Be Gone Too Long,” which the pair recently teased on Instagram, was reportedly slated to debut next week.

But late on Monday, Grande took to Twitter to announce she had “bad news and good news.”

“So obviously some things have changed recently… so we have to delay the dbgtl countdown… some things are out of our control,” wrote the singer.

Asked by a fan what’s changed, Grande replied, “my duet partner isn’t available at the moment to put the song out with me.”

She added, “Thank you for understanding, I love you and I wish there was something I could do.”

Grande, who said she would try to make it up to fans with a live video chat featuring other new music, didn’t indicate when the song may now come out.

The delay comes a few days after Brown was kicked out of rehab and arrested.

Around the same time as Grande’s tweets (see below), a judge ordered Brown to remain behind bars until late April.
