Ariana Grande does NOT demand to be carried around like a baby when she’s tired, despite a new tabloid report that’s testing Gossip Cop’s patience and sanity. It comes from In Touch, an outlet that’s constantly shrieking about how successful women including Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are all “divas.”

The tabloids’ pattern with these “diva” stories is fairly predictable. Whenever a magazine brands a female star as “difficult” or “demanding,” other outlets race to accuse her of increasingly absurd alleged behavior. Because readers have been told over and over how horrible and weird these women supposedly are, they’re more likely to believe these preposterous rumors.

Star recently (and falsely) claimed that Grande forced an assistant to feed her water through a straw at an event. It looks like In Touch set out to up the ante. “Her new rule is that she has to be carried — literally carried like a baby — when she doesn’t feel like walking,” a so-called “source” tells the outlet. “She says that she doesn’t want her precious feet to hit the floor.”

This unidentified person alleges to have seen staffers lift Grande during a recent music video shoot and at rehearsals for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, saying, “Everyone was stunned. Ariana is such a diva.”

Uh-huh. Even though this story is absurd, a lot of people have been asking about it, so we reached out for comment. A rep for Grande tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the story is “fake.” Like a lot of what In Touch says.
