WATCH: Ariana Grande Slams Rumors She Stormed Off Set During Photo Shoot
Ariana Grande slammed rumors that she was a diva on Monday during a photo shoot in Sydney, Australia, where she allegedly stormed off the set after providing a list of demands.
Grande, who’s in Sydney promoting her new album “My Everything,” shared her side of the story during a radio interview with Mike E and Emma on The Edge 96.ONE, admitting that “it does suck” to hear “totally untrue and annoying” rumors about herself.
“It was just a photographer or something who got mad at me because I left to change my outfit mid-photo shoot because I didn’t like my top,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll be right back!’ and then I came back and he had left. I was like, ‘Oh, s–t!'”
She added, “Then he came out and said all these ridiculous, untrue things about me. I was like, ‘That’s not real. That’s nonsense!'”
“My fans know who I am, my family knows who I am, my friends know who I am, and that’s all that matters,” said Grande. “No matter what you do, no matter what your profession is, no matter how old you are, everybody deals with haters. We could talk about it for hours.”
The “Bang Bang” singer noted, “They are also people who don’t necessarily know you or understand you. They’re also judging an inaccurate depiction of you.”
Grande’s manager Scooter Braun also came to the pint-sized star’s defense on Monday night tweeting, “@ArianaGrande is kind, caring, and more than anything she is a great human being. Some people make up rumors for a living….so saying things about Ari comes with her now being a big star. But saying she isn’t a good person that ain’t gonna fly.”
He continued, “Just yesterday she did an impromptu meet and greet for all her fans that almost got her kicked out of her hotel after a 14 hour work day. Why? Because she knows u care so she does too. There is Zero truth to anything different. Enough is enough.”
