A lot has been made of Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler having a budding romance off the set of “The Bounty,” including a piece today that they were seen “hand in hand” on Saturday night at a lounge inside The Jane Hotel in New York.

Still, a friend of Butler’s joked to Gossip Cop that Butler is a “hands-on guy,” and added that the source was “not saying it could never happen, but as of [now] — absolutely not.” The pal said the two play an ex-husband and wife who rekindle their romance in the movie, but that’s where it ends, and that Butler’s recently had a few “lady friends.” And just a few days ago, Aniston’s rep told Gossip Cop talk of a romance was “not true.”
