Anne Hathaway Mimics Miley Cyrus For “Wrecking Ball” On Lip Sync Battle (VIDEO)
Anne Hathaway takes on Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” in the new episode of “Lip Sync Battle.” It’s pretty great. Watch the video preview below!
The Oscar winner copies Cyrus’ stripped-down costume from the song’s famous music video, riding a wrecking ball and giving a shocked and delighted LL Cool J (and Emily Blunt) the middle finger. We knew Hathaway could sing (for real) from Les Miserables, but who knew she could fake-sing with such flair!
“Lip Sync Battle” may have another viral sensation on its hands. Last week, Dwayne Johnson performed an incredible rendition of Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” stunning Jimmy Fallon and the crowd with his artistry and attention to detail. John Legend, meanwhile, did a pretty great version of MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This,” and Common channeled Lionel Richie for “All Night Long.”
But Hathaway may have them all beat with her surprisingly raunchy interpretation of Cyrus’ hit song. This definitely isn’t The Princess Diaries. We look forward to seeing the full version when it becomes available. For now, check out the first clip of Anne Hathaway doing Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” on “Lip Sync Battle,” and tell us what you think!
