Anne Hathaway is getting a lot of attention on the Oscars red carpet — but maybe not the kind she expected.

The Best Supporting Actress nominee’s nipples were somewhat visible — or at least very prominent — through her Prada dress.

Hathaway’s Nipplegate created a major stir on Twitter, with red carpet observers turning the wardrobe snafu into this year’s fashion controversy.

Comedian Billy Eichner tweeted, “Anne Hathaway’s sideboob is my Vietnam.”

Richard Lawson joked, “It’s kind of creepy that you guys think Anne Hathaway has nipples.”

    How ridiculous. Those seams are called darts. They used to be sewn in all dresses and tops for women in the 40s, 50 and 60s mostly. They were put there to manage the cone shaped bras of that time period. What a crazy thing to obsess over by the media.
