CLAIM: Anne Hathaway And Julia Roberts Are “Enemies” After Movie Snub
Anne Hathaway and Julia Roberts are “unlikely enemies,” according to a new tabloid report. There’s just one problem. The story is entirely untrue, and Gossip Cop can exclusively bust it. A rep for Hathaway tells Gossip Cop that the claims are flat-out “false.”
According to OK!, Hathaway and Roberts “can’t stand each other.” A so-called “source” for the tabloid says, “When they first met, Julia found Anne to be very insincere.” The magazine doesn’t provide any details, such as when the meeting supposedly took place, or what Hathaway allegedly did to rub Roberts the wrong way. Nevertheless, the tabloid goes on to write, “The nail in the coffin came when Anne’s team pitched Julia a mother-daughter script.” The outlet’s supposed tipster claims Roberts “scoffed at the idea.” “Now Anne sees her as incredibly stuck-up,” alleges the so-called OK! “source.”
Well, the tabloid is “incredibly” WRONG. A rep for Hathaway tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the story is “completely false,” noting, “We are not aware of any movie they were supposed to do together.” Hathaway’s spokesperson adds, “Anne would be more than thrilled to work with Julia.” And a second source even exclaims to Gossip Cop, “Geez, where do they get this crap from?” We wonder that all the time.
