Truth rating: 10

Angus T. Jones is breaking his silence about the viral video that shows him slamming his show “Two and a Half Men” as filth.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Jones filmed a Christian testimonial video with Forerunner Chronicles in which he says people should “stop watching” the hit series, and suggests that the Devil is working through the show.

Now Jones is clarifying his comments and apologizing to any colleagues who may have taken offense.

“Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked over the past ten years and who have become an extension of my family,” the actor says.

He continues, “Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date.”

While never explicitly stating whether he plans to stay on the series, the 19-year-old admits that the cast and crew have had a “positive” effect on his life thus far.

“I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life,” he says.

Jones concludes, “I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed. I never intended that.”

ANGUS T. JONES STATEMENT

I have been the subject of much discussion, speculation and commentary over the past 24 hours. While I cannot address everything that has been said or right every misstatement or misunderstanding, there is one thing I want to make clear.

Without qualification, I am grateful to and have the highest regard and respect for all of the wonderful people on Two and Half Men with whom I have worked over the past ten years and who have become an extension of my family.

Chuck Lorre, Peter Roth and many others at Warner Bros. and CBS are responsible for what has been one of the most significant experiences in my life to date.  I thank them for the opportunity they have given and continue to give me and the help and guidance I have and expect to continue to receive from them.

I also want all of the crew and cast on our show to know how much I personally care for them and appreciate their support, guidance and love over the years.  I grew up around them and know that the time they spent with me was in many instances more than with their own families.  I learned life lessons from so many of them and will never forget how much positive impact they have had on my life.

I apologize if my remarks reflect me showing indifference to and disrespect of my colleagues and a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed.  I never intended that.

Lol….. You have to love the apology . It says, ” please. I love you, just please give me a job!” I totally love those fake admirations and confesion of deep friendship. What does it really say is……you can’t piss at the hand that feeding you!

  • MissZee

    fire him.

  • Kaitlyn Cocuzzo

    Seems insincere.
And frankly, if the show goes against his beliefs he shouldn’t back down, he should stick to his guns!

He was a child actor. Give him a break. How can any kid who grows up working on a tv show where the two main characters sleep with so many different women be normal?it’s so easy to sit back and judge. How could any decent parent let their kid be an actor yet alone on an adult comedy tv show.

wow this kid is making 300k per episode, he is so disrespectful

  • http://twitter.com/1darkeclipse darkeclipse

No excuse if he was child actor.

He’s not clarifying, he’s back peddling (like a speed demon). Clearly he hasn’t been acting all these years, he’s really that stupid.

Where’s Donald Trump when you need him??? Angus, you are fired.

  • Love never fails

what do you want then? hating whenever you can ok..loser

  • D. Martin

I gotta agree with this. He’s trying to make the adjustment from child actor to adulthood — and whatever that holds as many actors can’t make that transition. He’s clarifying what he said and trying to apologize if he’s offended anyone. How many of us have done that?

  • Dorothy MacMenamin

What is wrong with some of the young people today. I wonder where he would be today if it were not for Two and a Half Men. What is it they say? Just take the money and run!. The show can do quite well without him and I think that has been proven by Charlie Sheene’s departure. I certainly wouldn’t miss him.

  • ALogicalMind

Many celebs have who’ve had a publicist write it out for them

  • ALogicalMind

VERY STUPID. If you have something to say stick to it don’t back peddle and become a whip about it. He wasn’t a whip when he was dissing the show that have him everything he has now. He wouldn’t even have money to pay for that college education he’s not pursuing if it weren’t for his pay check on the show. His career is over. He stayed out the tabloids etc now he’s a media target now. Smart move. Definitely not. He could’ve left the show silently. People know what they’re watching noone takes the show seriously as he claims they are if people want to watch the show let them. People watching the show is what have his ass a job. It’s just a comedy why he’s acting like the show he works on is the rapture I have no idea I’m sick of these ungrateful actors. Throwing away opposites taking things for granted. I say being young down to earth actors to Hollywood and give then jobs. People that actually want to be there and won’t throw their jobs away ‘ost people would kill for his job. Most actors who’ve been acting before he was born would.

  • jojojet

Maybe its just me but I feel like he didn’t really do any thing wrong. If you look at the show through the eyes of a devote christian the show is filth theres lots of talk of sex and other unsavory things. I am glad that he did not rebuff his statments but apologized for an disrespect. I don’t like that this is being called a melt down its him being firm in his beliefs.

He wasn’t exactly silent during his rant, y’know? Oh well, at least you didn’t say he stunned in his apology.

    What an ungrateful git.

  • LP

I would think that it is a combination of Angus’ contract, his parents, and his manager creating this apology and Angus possibly trying to grin and bare it until at some point he is out of his contract and evolves to have a true mind of his own, although I truly don’t see the Angus that was on the video as having a mind of his own either, more so some dogma that he is deeply caught up in and one day he will sort the wheat from the chaff. Not that it is all bad…he may be heading to a path of some spiritual wisdom but he still has to sort through a lot of dogma and find the true pearls of the wisdom of God…as we all have to…that is, for those who desire to do so.

  • justsaying

no one held a gun to his head to be on the show. Like my boss always says, “Don’t like it here…there’s the door. He may be a man/child, but at 19, you should know what you believe in or not.

  • Mr Sir

He’s been on this show HOW long and he’s just now discovering it’s raunchy?
