Angelina Jolie was NOT exposed to the Zika virus while traveling through the Third World, despite a bogus tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”

The actress often visits impoverished countries doing humanitarian work, and according to the National Enquirer, she may have recently contracted the deadly disease. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “If it’s in her system, it could trigger other problems that she’s terrified might kill her.” The outlet’s questionable insider further alleges, “Angie’s closest friends are deeply concerned that this problem has been the source of her terrifying weight loss.”

The magazine’s seemingly manufactured source then makes the outrageous claim that Brad Pitt is actually grateful that Jolie is supposedly battling the virus, saying, “Now that they’ve identified a problem, Brad is calling in specialists to help treat her.” The tabloid’s dubious “insider” adds, “Angie is petrified, but Brad’s relieved there’s a specific issue to address.”

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Jolie, who exclusively assures us the actress has neither been infected nor exposed to the Zika virus, and the tabloid’s claim otherwise is simply “false.” Of course, this is just the latest tall tale in the Enquirer’s endless list of fake stories about Jolie.

Gossip Cop recently debunked the publication’s wrong rumor about Pitt being angry because Jolie’s “more concerned” with helping refugees than spending time with her own family. And shortly before that, we called out the magazine for falsely alleging the actress was on a “hunger strike” to raise awareness about starving Syrian refugees. This latest piece of fiction about Jolie is just more lies from the frequently unreliable tabloid.
