Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt Walk First Red Carpet As Married Couple At Unbroken World Premiere – SEE PICS!
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made their first red carpet appearance as a married couple on Sunday, attending the world premiere of the actress’ film Unbroken at the State Theatre in Sydney, Australia. Jolie stunned in a strapless black lace Gucci gown while Pitt wore a black suit and black tie. The newlyweds later posed with the film’s stars Miyavi Ishihara and Jack O’Connell.
During the premiere, Jolie met with Krystal Barter, the founder of Pink Hope Charity. Like Jolie, Barter decided to have a preventative double mastectomy because she too carried the BRCA1 gene linked to breast cancer. The organization shared a touching Instagram photo of the Oscar winner hugging Barter, captioned, “Angelina wanted to meet our founder Krystal at the #unbrokenpremiere and what a moment it turned out to be. So proud of all Pink Hope stands for and our amazing community.” See the pic below.
Jolie directed Unbroken, which tells the incredible true story of Louis Zamperini, the U.S. Olympic athlete who later survived a World War II plane crash and a horrifying stint as a prisoner of war in Japan. Jolie grew close with Zamperini as she worked to adapt the movie based on Laura Hillenbrand’s novel of the same name. On July 2, Zamperini passed away at the age of 97 after battling a case of pneumonia. Jolie was with Zamperini during the last days of his life and was able to show him an early cut of the film. “It is a loss impossible to describe,” Jolie said in a statement after his death. “We are all so grateful for how enriched our lives are for having known him. We will miss him terribly.”
Jolie and Pitt wed in late August during a private ceremony at a small chapel in Chateau Miraval, France. Following their nuptials, the two headed to Malta to being filming their latest collaboration By The Sea. Check out the photos from the Unbroken premiere below, and tell us what you think!
