Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt Therapists Did NOT “Tell All,” Despite Report
A headline in the new issue of In Touch announces, “Brad vs. Angelina: The Family Therapists Tell All.” The wording is meant to make readers think the counselors have spoken out publicly, and the magazine has an “exclusive” with all the details. But most of the information in the accompanying story was seemingly made up.
No therapist connected to Jolie and Pitt’s family has told “all” or made any kind of public comment. The outlet knows this full-well, which is why its article is actually just filled with speculation about what the therapists could possibly write in their official reports. And those reports, mind you, will be sealed and remain confidential.
And so, despite citing supposed sources and insiders, In Touch is merely guessing here about what may or may not be said in private. “For the past four months, a team of therapists has been monitoring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s every move,” states the publication. “Now those therapists are revealing everything.”
To who? Certainly not the tabloid. “The therapists have been preparing an assessment of the entire conflict to send to the judge,” one so-called “insider” is quoted as saying. The supposed snitch goes on to claim the document will be filled with pro-Pitt, anti-Jolie comments.
But again, due to the confidential nature of this situation, it is pretty much impossible for an In Touch “insider” to know what any counselor might say in such a report. And if and when an assessment is filed, it will not be a public document. The magazine is pretending to have insight when, all along, it has proven to know very little.
In fact, this is the same outlet that published an entire cover story last October wrongly claiming Pitt was seeking sole custody and was going to “take” the kids. So, to be crystal clear: No therapists are “telling all,” and In Touch still isn’t telling the truth.
