Angelina Jolie Brings Shiloh And Zahara To Kids’ Choice Awards, Gives Inspirational Speech — WATCH FULL VIDEO!
Angelina Jolie was one of the big winners at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards, and no one was more excited than her daughters Shiloh and Zahara. Watch below!
When it was announced Jolie won Favorite Villain for Maleficent, 8-year-old Shiloh and 10-year-old Zaharah were ecstatic, throwing their arms around their famous mom as they sat in the audience. The family then had a group hug before Jolie made her way to the stage, where she gave an inspiring acceptance speech to an arena full of young fans. The Oscar winner began, “I want to say that when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different.”
“And I felt out of place, and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in,” continued Jolie. “And then one day I realized something, something I hope you all realize. Different is good.” The actress went on, “So, don’t fit in. Don’t sit still. Don’t ever try to be less than what you are. And when someone tells you that you are differnet, smile and hold your head up high and be proud. And, as your villain, I would also say, cause a little trouble. It’s good for you.”
The event marked Jolie’s first formal appearance since she announced last week that she had surgery earlier this month to remove her ovaries and fallopian tube. Jolie was also nominated for Favorite Movie Actress, but lost to Emma Stone. Check out the video of Jolie’s appearance below!
