Angelina Jolie Planning Political Run?

Angelina Jolie wants to “run for office,” according to Life & Style.

The tabloid’s so-called “insider” says, “Angie’s putting out feelers to see how people would react to the idea of her running for office. She sees it as the next stage of her life, and it’s something she’d really like to do.”

Really?

So has the actress spoken about her desire to enter politics?

Does Life & Style have any inside info about her public service ambitions?

No and no.

Instead, the magazine reasons that Jolie is a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, “so running for governor or senator could be her next step.”

Life & Style‘s “expert” doesn’t think her controversial history should affect Jolie’s hypothetical candidacy, explaining, “She’s already admitted to drug use in the past, so it’s no longer news. Plus, she certainly has the radiance to run for office.”

But despite Jolie’s qualifications as a radiant former drug user, don’t expect her to leap to the political stage anytime soon.

A source close to the actress-activist tells Gossip Cop she’s extremely comfortable continuing to make movies and do humanitarian work, but has no plans at all to run for office.

    These rags are so funny. Gossip news must be really slow right now if they are saying Angelina Jolie wants to run for a political office. What would be the reason for her to do that? She’s doing more good by being a private citizen. Politics would be the worse thing for her, her family, her career and her humantarian causes. These rags are getting funnier and funnier and, as always, good for a laugh.

    Riiiiiiiiight. Except for the ones where shes been nominated for Oscars, Golden Globes and SAG Awards, basically 3 of the last 6 films she’s done. Go back to lifetime tv, Jen Maniston.

    Quite frankly I believe this woman can accomplish whatever she sets out to do. But she is really way to smart to run for any office. It would be fun to see in a movie though.
