Angelina Jolie NOT Banning Kids From Contact With Brad Pitt, Despite Report
The untrue allegation can be found in the current edition of the National Enquirer. According to the supermarket tabloid, “Instead of focusing on how to shelter the kids from their [divorce] battle, Angie is desperate to ban Brad from having any contact with them!” It’s alleged Jolie “refused to allow Brad to see son Pax on his 13th birthday Nov. 29 or the rest of the kids over the Thanksgiving holiday — and he was set to see them for only four hours on Christmas Day!”
“Angie is keeping all the kids away from Brad,” a so-called “source” is quoted as saying. “She’s so fearful that Brad will try to see them that she’s forbidden all of them from leaving the house!” But these claims are wrong on several fronts.
First off, that last “source” quote makes it sound like Pitt is some kind of stalker who would be tracking the family if they leave the home. That is obviously not the case. Second, Gossip Cop has exclusively learned that in no way has Jolie “forbidden” the kids from going out. Our impeccable contact notes, “They’ve been Christmas shopping, trick-or-treating, etc.”
Lastly, the notion that Jolie is banning contact and visits with Pitt is unequivocally false. As Gossip Cop has noted several times now, it is not the actress who determines visitation. Rather, according to the estranged couple’s temporary custody agreement, it is up to the children’s therapists to schedule such interaction as appropriate.
A rep for Jolie further tells Gossip Cop that the National Enquirer’s contentions are “not true.” That’s hardly surprising considering these allegations are coming from the same gossip magazine that outrageously asserted in an October cover story that Jolie was “back on drugs.” The publication’s level of accuracy continues to be mind-bogglingly low.
