Angelina Jolie Set To Take Legal Action Over Alleged Heroin Video: Report
Angelina Jolie will reportedly take legal action against The Daily Mail after the outlet posted a video it alleges shows the actress-director addicted to heroin in the 1990s.
The footage purportedly shows a then-twentysomething Jolie walking around her New York apartment and speaking on the phone to her father Jon Voight.
According to the Mail, the video was shot by a drug dealer named Franklin Meyer and captures in Jolie “the essence of a druggie… blotchy faced, hollow-eyed, painfully think and talking tedious drivel.”
While Jolie has spoken publicly about her past drug issues, it appears she is upset about the invasion of privacy the video represents, and preparing to go after the Mail.
On Friday, The Times of London reported that the Oscar winner “has started legal action.”
Gossip Cop is attempting to confirm Jolie’s legal challenge.
Not a good week for the tabloid.
