“An exhausted Angelina Jolie is showing signs of deadly hepatitis C — and friends fear the frail beauty may require a life-saving liver transplant!” declares the National Enquirer.

Huh?

According to the tabloid, Jolie has “shriveled to 95 pounds, recently suffered a terrifying collapse and is displaying classic symptoms of the mostly incurable liver disease.”

“Pals are frightened she picked up the killer virus with reckless behavior during her wild young days — including heroin abuse,” explains the Enquirer.

The magazine says the actress’ “devastating health crisis has put her under such tremendous stress, it’s ruining her life.”

“Longtime partner Brad Pitt is desperate to keep her healthy, but Angie’s well-being is always hanging over their heads,” continues the tabloid, which claims Jolie’s supposed emergency has threatened the couple’s “wedding” and “baby dreams.”

What supposedly is making everyone worry Jolie has a deadly case of hepatitis C?

She’s been tired sometimes when she travels.

Really.

CLAIM: Angelina Jolie is Pregnant, 98 Pounds and Headed for Rehab

The Enquirer quotes a “friend” as saying that Jolie’s told pals she had “severe headaches, dehydration and lightheadedness” and “no energy or appetite” during a recent trip to the Middle East.

“What Angelina experienced can be symptoms of hepatitis,” some “experts” tell the tabloid.

Of course, they could also be symptoms of a THOUSAND other, less fatal, less sensationalistic illnesses.

But the Enquirer is convinced Jolie might have hepatitis, because of her “risky behavior” with drugs and sex many years ago, so the magazine’s random experts — none of whom have actually treated the actress — guess that she could have picked up the disease in the late 1990s.

NONE of this is tethered to actual facts about Jolie’s medical status — it’s pure speculation that tries to link decades-old events to a non-existent health “crisis” in order to convince readers one of the world’s most famous women is secretly on the brink of dying.

The Enquirer has produced some real doozies about Jolie in recent months, but this cover story might take the cake, and it’s especially absurd given the seriousness of the allegations and the real health crises and deadly diseases other people face.

A source close to Jolie and Pitt tells Gossip Cop the Enquirer story is “100 percent wrong.”

    This is disgusting! I am no Jolie fan but my goodness this is out of line. The magazine industry in this country seriously need to be shut down not that the enquirer is taken seriously any way. Can you imagine one of her kids seeing this and going to ask her Mom are you dying? Do you need a liver?
    I hope Angie sues the hell out of these pricks, this has gone enough for far too long. Leave Brad, Jen and Angie alone and let the past stay in the past.

    Typically symptoms also associated with the heat of summer.. Hardly surprising she felt that way when she was in the middle east, a place notorious for it’s severe heat..

    I am not a fan of Angelina, but if she had Hep C chances are we would all have known it long ago. When a woman is pregnant doctors test for all kinds of things, including Hepatitis, Angelina has been pregnant twice, I’m sure she’s been tested.

Wonder if I also have a “deadly disease”?? Uh, no . . . I’m just TIRED!! This piece of sh!t rag is getting worse and worse every week. Somebody needs to put them on blast. It’s really too bad the laws in the U.S. are too difficult for stars to sue the crap out of them. I suppose Angelina is doing the next best thing by completely ignoring them.

    This is not right that they keep saying she is sick. Ther is also rumor out there that she has genital herpes. That she had to have a csection because of them. If you cha cha does Angelina Jolie have genital herpes the answer comes back yes. So wouldn’t that mean brad has it also? So if that not true then I would be smoking mad that this rumor was going around about me. Genital herpes is no laughing matter.

    I agree. She would never have been allowed to carry a pregnancy to term if she had either Hepatitis B or C. This total B.S. reporting, especially when it concerns people’s health or their children or their children’s health…has got to stop.     Jen’s PR group in full force as usual. She has had no PR in months so she knows she can try to score off of bad PR over her nemesis. Funny how Jen is now doing some PR for a childrens’ cancer hospital then this comes out. It is well known in LA that Jen is very enviable of Angie.
