Angelina Jolie FBI Interview: What Happened At Meeting?
Angelina Jolie was reportedly interviewed by the FBI on Tuesday. The meeting was about the alleged plane fight with estranged husband Brad Pitt and their son Maddox.
As Gossip Cop has reported, last month the family was onboard a private jet when Jolie and Pitt had an argument. Maddox intervened on his mother’s behalf, and Pitt allegedly put his hands on him. While his camp maintains he was not physically abusive towards the teen, an anonymous complaint was filed with the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services.
Because the fight took place on an international flight, the FBI was also contacted. As previously noted, though, no formal investigation has been launched by the bureau. But two agents reportedly met with Jolie, as well as the kids, at her Malibu rental home this week to get more information on what allegedly transpired.
Over the course of several hours, the actress was interviewed about what exactly went down, according to TMZ. The agents are also trying to figure out at what point in the trip the incident took place, as the location of the purported altercation will help determine jurisdiction. While the flight was from France to the U.S., there was a stop in Minnesota.
The FBI still has not decided whether to officially pursue the case. But Jolie, who filed for divorce days after the fight, reportedly doesn’t want Pitt prosecuted for child abuse. Meanwhile, the couple’s temporary custody agreement, arranged by the DCFS, is set to expire on Thursday. Gossip Cop has reached out for comment.
