Angelina Jolie NOT Designing Couture Clothing Line With Tom Ford, Despite Report
Angelina Jolie is not designing a couture clothing line with Tom Ford, despite a report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this false story, which comes from the tabloids. We’re told it’s untrue.
According to Star, Jolie is “ready to get her groove back and is enlisting fashion guru Tom Ford to help.” A so-called “fashion insider” tells the magazine the actress feels like an “outsider” in the wake of her split from Brad Pitt, and knows Ford is the “industry It Guy.” And, alleges the publication, he’s “ready to make” Jolie “his latest project.”
“It kills Tom to see her in these depressing all-black ensembles and dowdy red carpet gowns,” asserts the outlet’s supposed source, who fails to mention Jolie has worn his designs in the past (most notably, the black dress in the photo above). To change up her style, the tabloid’s tipster claims Ford now “wants to do a couture line with her and get her back to icon status.” Tellingly, though, the magazine doesn’t mention if the alleged collection will debut at Fashion Week this September, or when it might be available for purchase.
That’s because Gossip Cop is told it’ll be released in a week from… never. Ford and Jolie are 100 percent not teaming up to design a couture clothing line together. A rep for the designer-director exclusively tells Gossip Cop this story is “so not true.” Additionally, a Jolie insider knew nothing about it.
Star, of course, has been repeatedly caught telling a lot of “not true” tales about Jolie. That includes a cover story last fall that wrongly claimed Jolie cheated on Pitt before their separation. Perhaps it’s the tabloid’s reporting that could use a makeover.
