Angelina Jolie is the subject of yet another despicable National Enquirer cover story that creates a fictional health scare for the actress stating Jolie suffers from severe weight loss at 92 pounds. According to the tabloid, which regularly publishes and spreads outrageous and false stories about Jolie’s health, the star’s weight has supposedly plummeted to 90 pounds as she faces a “new cancer drama.”

The Enquirer says Jolie “plans to have her ovaries removed, and her devoted fiancé Brad Pitt is panicked that her fragile physical condition could cause the procedure to end in tragedy.” “Brad is fearful that Angie may not be strong enough to survive the operation,” a so-called “source” tells the outlet. “He’s worried sick about her!” This story was boring and wrong the first 50 times the Enquirer wrote it.

In the latest iteration, the shameless tabloid speculates that Jolie might die like singer Karen Carpenter, talks to doctors who have never treated Jolie, and otherwise fills up a cover story with old quotes and useless information. It’s the same endless repetition of the same themes the Enquirer has been using for years: Jolie works too hard, eats too little, looks frail, and is at risk for all sorts of horrible ailments.

The fact that the magazine runs it all as a cover story shows just how little actual news the Enquirer actually has to break this week. Enough already. A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop the magazine report is “ridiculous.”
