Angelina Jolie is NOT dating a mystery man, despite a sensational and completely wrong report. Gossip Cop can bust the story, which comes from the tabloids.

The National Enquirer blares in its latest issue, “In Love Angelina Replaces Brad!” According to the supermarket tabloid, Jolie was “caught cozying up to [a] mystery hunk — as Brad’s kids ride along!” Basing its claims solely off paparazzi photos, it’s alleged the actress was “caught sharing an intimate moment with the new man in her life” while in Cambodia last month.

“They sneaked out of her luxury hotel to shop,” writes the publication, saying, “In a further blow to Brad, Angie has even introduced the handsome stranger to her six children.” A so-called “source” claims, “Brad will hit the roof when he finds out about this! He’s barely allowed to speak to his own children, then Angelina takes them halfway around the world, and now she’s letting some guy buy them trinkets?”

The outlet contends Jolie “had hoped to keep her new love under wraps,” but its alleged snitch asserts, “Her smile betrays her. She even let him ride in the same rickshaw with her and the kids.” Tellingly, though, the National Enquirer has no clue as to this supposed boyfriend’s identity. That’s why, throughout the piece, he’s referred to as an “unknown man,” “mystery hunk,” “mystery man,” and “mystery date.”

Yet is seems quite obvious that the gentleman in question is a member of Jolie’s security detail for the trip. THAT’S why he joined the star and her family on a public outing through the Cambodian town. The tabloid simply took the photos, and manufactured an untrue narrative around them about the guy being Jolie’s new love interest.

In fact, this isn’t the first time the gossip magazine has pulled such a stunt. In one of the tabloid’s entirely untrue Jolie-Pitt divorce stories, published a year before the couple actually split, the unscrupulous outlet tried to convince readers she was cheating simply because she was pictured in Cambodia with a male crew member as she worked on First They Killed My Father.

The disreputable publication twisted that outing to make it seem like something it wasn’t, just as it is now doing with this new story. It’s typical tabloid trickery. Don’t fall for it.
